FAQs

FAQs

Q. How long is the warranty on Hustler products?

A. A full 2 year warranty applies to all Hustler Equipment sold in New Zealand and Australia

Q. Am I able to feed fine chopped bales with a Chainless balefeeder?

A. Yes, as we have enhanced our balefeeders to feed these types of bales, but as with any balefeeder the longer the cut the easier it is to feed. Also, farmers tell us that there is significantly less wastage when the hay is cut a bit longer.

Chainless models have a platform height guide on the front. We recommend for fine chop bales to lift the platform to the highest guide position.

Q. Will I be able to feed round and square bales?

A. Yes, the Chainless models are designed specifically for feeding anytype of bale round, square, hay, balage, straw, etc. This is beacuse of the twin drums turning at different speeds teases out bales rather than simply unrolling them.

Our SL and SLX model round balefeeders can feed out and square bales with the optional sidebar kit fitted, although like all cradle type feeders will not feed squares as good as the specially designed Chainless range.

Q. Am I able to feed straw bales with a Chainless balefeeder?

A. Yes, round and square

Q. Do you have a balefeeder that feeds into troughs?

A. Yes, the newly developed SL-450T, designed to feed into troughs and over fences. This model is unique in that the side extension can be folded up out of the way for transport or to feed over fences. Click here to download the SL-450T brochure.

Q. Why does the SL350, SL700X and SL450X balefeeders use bearing instead of bushes?

A. Because bearings unlike bushes are silent and don't flogg out when not greased. Ask yourself - does the engine on your tractor us bushes or bearings? Of course they use bearings, because there is no doubt that bearings well out last bushes and have much less friction providing a smooth running operation.

We mount our bearings externally to prevent hay from causing damage or premature wear as found with any internally mounted bearing or bush. We use heavy duty 4 bolt flange bearings with trash shields to withstand the harshest of conditions.
